On May 3rd 2021, Ana Maria Gutiérrez-Blanco defended her PhD Thesis entitled “Tetrametallic (gold, iridium and rhodium) complexes based on N-heterocyclic carbenes". From luminescent properties to supramolecular assemblies". The Thesis was defended on-line due to COVID restrictions. The work was supervised by Prof. Dr. Eduardo Peris and Dr. Macarena Poyatos (INAM, UJI), and got the qualification of Excellent Cum laude. The evaluation committee was formed by Prof. Ekkehardt Hahn (Münster University), Dr. Stephane Bellemin-Laponnaz (IPCMS-Strasbourg) and Dr.

The patent protects a new method that is cheap and easily scalable for electrolysers synthesis based on abundant earth materials (nickel oxide). The electrolysers present high catalytic activity and stability demonstrated in laboratory scale for its application in the hydrogen production from water electrolysis.
