The Institute of Advanced Materials (INAM) at Universitat Jaume I has held the IV Edition of Recent Advances in Materials and Sustainability for the Future (RAMS 2026), a scientific seminar that brings together researchers and PhD students from across the institute to share their latest work and foster collaboration.
The event opened with a welcome address by INAM Director Elena Mas, followed by a full programme of short talks delivered by PhD students representing different research groups within the institute. Throughout the morning and early afternoon sessions, speakers presented their work on a wide range of topics related to materials science and sustainability, including CO₂ valorisation, photocatalysis, electrochemistry, organic electronics and advanced functional materials.
A key moment of the event was the poster session, which gathered nearly 40 contributions. This session provided an opportunity for more in-depth discussion, enabling participants to exchange ideas, receive feedback and explore potential collaborations in an informal setting.
RAMS 2026 once again served as a platform to put into perspective the diversity and quality of research carried out at INAM, reinforcing internal connections and promoting scientific exchange across disciplines.
The event concluded with closing remarks and the presentation of awards, with the Best Presentation award going to Marvin Linus Richter and the Best Poster award to Prerna Ranasingh.
This edition was supported by the Young Chemists Group (JIQ) of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ), through its funding programme for scientific training events.
